NHTV Intro 2010! |

Finally I have been chosen as one of the DJs who will be playing at the official NHTV Introduction Camp at the end of August 2010. Location: Poppel, Belgium.
It's a four day festival and a complete madhouse for all freshmen students from NHTV who are going to commence a study Leisure Management, Tourism or Facility Management.
Really looking forward to it! |

Queen's NIght & DaY |
|
Tomorrow it's Queen's Night and Friday it's Queen's Day in Holland! This year I will be playing outside of Breda for the first time. And not just in any city but in Eindhoven (NB) at Cafe Millertime.
Preparations are being made and I'm updating my DJ bag with the latest and hottest tracks. Tomorrow it's gonna get lose in one of the biggest 'Orange' cities of Holland!

Today I decided to separate my blog from my home page. So now you can find it right here. That's the biggest change along with some layout changes.
And another thing. My €300,- Pioneer HDJ2000 headphone is about to die on me I believe. Let's hope it will hold just for a little while longer. |

Pioneer CDJ2000 |

Yesterday I had my first gig where I played at the new Pioneer CDJ2000. The crowd totally freaked out and mixing has never been easier. I was also able to transfer all my saved CUEpoints from my SD-cards that I have always used in combination with the CDJ1000 to the new player. I really like this newest addition to the Pioneer CDJ-line.
I managed to make a good deal renting these bad boys. With the upcoming DJ Clinics in Breda/Tilburg/Eindhoven I will definitly make the CDJ2000 part of the lessons.
There are several valueable features added. My personal favorite is browsing through the CD (especially in MP3 mode) while playing. I had some trouble in the beginning with the Needle Search function but I managed to get it working. I really need to master this function properly though.

Journey to the 'far east' |

Tomorrow I'm going on a trip to the far East of Holland. Destination: Wageningen. Playing for the people from KSV is always a treat. This student fraternity throws awesome parties the whole year round.
Tomorrow yearclub "T3" is throwing their gangster party. I have already dusted off al my old Hiphop and Gansta Rap records so I'm ready for it.
Oh and another thing: no matter where you go, you always meet people from back home. So I'm curious already which people I will meet tomorrow. |

Easter Weekend |

Yesterday my gig at JEKA got cancelled due to family reasons. Sometimes that happens and it's not a problem at all. It was just a matter of coincidence. I actually got to visit my grandma who will turn 91 this summer so I was glad I got to see her again!
Today we had a real nice and well-cooked dinner again. I realised that they don't have a "Second Easter Day" in the rest of the world. Here in the Netherlands we do! |

This month has been really good to us music lovers. Summer is in the air and that clearly effects the music! There are some tracks in my top 10 that have been released a while ago. In my opinion these tracks still rock the floor. Therefore they appear in the first new Zifiron's Top 10 from March 2010.
Because I won't provide you with download links I will share the track titles with you. All ten tracks are carefully hand-picked by me from a total of 67 new tracks which entered my playlist during the last month. |

Dance Tour Breda 2010 |

Last year I couldn't finish my mixtape on time, but this year it's going to be different. I'm preparing right now for Dance Tour Breda 2010. Even if I don't make it to the stage it's worth a try..

Today I had a little chat with someone who owns locations in Breda, Tilburg and Eindhoven. We talked about the possibility of broadening my horizon to Tilburg and expanding my number of gigs in Eindhoven. The final arrangements will be made in June.
More and more is happening these days and I even have to reject some events because I can't be in two places at once. Too bad, because I'd rather be behind the decks every day.
I don't know what the future brings but in the meantime: I'll keep on working and play my music as much as I can.
